Henna Runes

Image
When I was in my early teens, I remember my mom giving me The Book of Runes by Ralph Blum that came with a felt pound and a set of runes. I played with them for a short period of time and even set the intention of journaling them. Like any young teenager, my best intentions were put aside due to other distractions.  I reconnected with The Book of Runes earlier this year. As a more mature adult, I have committed to a daily practice of casting and journaling runes. Casting runes is the act of setting an intention to receive a message and then drawing a rune. The rune then carries a message to assist you with what you are currently dealing with in life. Ralph Blum refers to this act as a powerful tool for Spiritual Warriors who are looking to make positive changes in their lives.  I have also worked with henna and jagua ink for over a year now. I first started drawing Zibu Angelic Symbols  on various body parts after meeting the artist, Debbie. She offers her henna servic...

About Me... (the extended version)

As a child I was naturally drawn to anything rainbow. I loved the colors of the rainbow. I loved the order. ROY-G-BIV. It sounded like a magical word to my ears. “Roy-gee-biv.” Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. There was an order that made sense and lined up. To me, it was indisputably the way things should be. It would bother me if I ever had a teacher or witnessed anyone who would illustrate the rainbow in any other order.       I incorporated rainbows and color into everything that I painted or drew. Art was another passion of mine that I was drawn to at an early age. I wanted to color and add to the natural beauty of the world. As I grew up playing with color and art, I also discovered crystals.       My parents were crystal lovers who were thirsty for knowledge. I remember attending crystal workshops at the age of ten and learning an invocation to cleanse my crystals that I still use today (and have ...

Author's Mindset

Important Notes about the Author’s Mindset: When reading this blog, please be aware of my mindset around these six concepts.   Intention is everything. It is easy to go through the motion of an act. However it has more impact when there is intention behind the action. You can complete a simple task mindlessly, like picking up your room. Or, you can put intention behind making your room look the best it can. The difference is often doing just enough to get by or really making your room look nice. The more we put conscious thought behind our actions, the more positive impact we will have.  Your own intention is the best intention. Currently on the market you will find every kind of intention you could possibly desire in some form of bottle or product. You can buy products that promise you everything from the perfect body to finding your true love to becoming a millionaire. I firmly believe that we can create our own “magic” and find it empowering to do so.  You are ...

About Me... (the short and sweet version)

I am a local Arizonan artist and educator who is passionate about sharing, educating, and creating about chakras. Why chakras? When I began reconnecting to my roots in my own healing journey, I became actively involved with the charkas. Through the language and the framework of the chakras I began to see how EVERYTHING is connected. With a teacher's heart, I get excited to share what I learn with others. I love the chakra connections and am excited to share with you as I continue my own journey.
